I don’t know about you, but every day is National Coffee Day over here. Every day, every hour… There’s no skimping on grinds in my coffee filters. But because the calendar says today, Oct. 1, is officially the date of the monumental occasion, I decided a commemoration was necessary. That’s where a list of the vibiest, cutest coffee shops in LA comes into play.

I’ve searched far and wide, considered my own experiences and enlisted the opinions of others to come up with this concise list of options (all over greater Los Angeles). These aren’t just the most Instagrammable, cutest coffee shops in LA—these also offer great functionality (think WiFi, quality grinds, chill crowds and aesthetic sounds). All in all, a total vibe.

Well, what are you waiting for? Keep reading and start sipping (in no particular order)!

1. The Palm Coffee Bar

Whether it’s a change of scenery or a solid cup o’ Joe you’re after, this Burbank hangout is brewing up quality coffee with a killer ambiance to boot. The banana leaf-adorned spot is filled with all the fixins for the perfect photo opp (its design is giving major Beverly Hills Hotel energy), while offering an array of caffeinated and decaffeinated classics, plenty of sweet treats and an invitation to stay all day.

2922 W. Magnolia Blvd.

Burbank, CA 91505

2. Federal Coffee

Remember when people went wild over Starbucks’ Mermaid Frappuccino a ways back? West LA’s Federal Coffee offers a slew of aesthetically pleasing sips much like the aforementioned, while providing photo-friendly decor to satisfy your social media needs. The standout spot (you can’t miss it—really—it’s all pink) sits on a peaceful neighborhood corner (which means you can find parking, yay!) and prides itself on authentic Parisian pastries and an unforgettable vibe.

Los Angeles, CA 90064

3. Hi-Fi Espresso

If you’re anywhere in the South Bay and you’re on the hunt for cutest coffee shops in LA, this little gem is your calling. With locations in Hermosa, Redondo and Manhattan beaches, you’ve got a quick espresso hit at your fingertips if your volleyball tournament has you wiped out! The spot combines retro and modern designs, with a warm and welcoming ambiance. They offer plenty of food and drink options—but most importantly, they’re community oriented. On a given date, you can find local live music performances and even fundraising efforts (they had a clothing sale to raise money for abortion groups). Grab your friends or sit solo, and expect to feel at home.

4. Aroma Coffee & Tea

If you’re a valley girl (or boy), there’s no doubt you’ve stopped by this charming, spacious beauty. But even if you don’t live out this way, here’s a reason to pop over the hill for a visit. With large indoor and outdoor seating areas, this Studio City mainstay offers a full menu, so whether you’re in the mood to munch, sip, or satisfy that sweet tooth, this vibey hangout has something for everyone. Pro tip: If you’re big on the holidays, don’t skip out on a seasonal visit because this special spot goes all out. It’s also located off Tujunga, so a bit more tucked away than busy Ventura.

4360 Tujunga Ave.

Studio City, CA 91604

(818) 508-6505

5. Hilltop Coffee + Kitchen

The goal of this community-oriented coffee spot (and full kitchen) is to inspire and encourage. With three locations (Slauson, Eagle Rock and Inglewood), Hilltop’s colorful drink options are served with powerful messages and thoughtful ingredients. Designed with bright, bold colors that spark creativity, the location itself is a perfect photo backdrop, but also a great place to chill out and get work done. If you had to pick one, go with the Inglewood location. It’s the area’s standout coffee spot and there’s always something exciting going on!

170 N. La Brea Ave.

Inglewood, CA 90302
